Been a minute

A Yay for Earth update....

WOW - I told myself that I would write on Substack once a week, but there has been a huge change in my business, Yay for Earth, that it has been taking up all my time! I am getting more breathers, so I will be more consistent on here, but here is a little update:

Long story short; we have downsized at Yay for Earth majorly! Not only did we have way too much overhead for any growth, but I have always felt like a “warehouse” environment stunted the beauty and enchantment of our vision.
My dream is to have an acreage, a YFE barn surrounding a thriving ecosystem. To truly showcase how a business can have a reciprocal relationship with nature and other species.

For now, this meant relinquishing my warehouse in Denver, and having to say goodbye to my cousin who was with us full time. Don’t worry we are still besties and he has another job with benefits, yay! haha. So I moved everything into my studio in the backyard (see photo above!)

The current mode has been to re-do the entire studio space and make it a YFE dream space. I have been trying to find ways to organize best, as it is a very small space. On top of making the space cozy, I am crafting everything, labeling, printing, packing out, answering emails, formulating more yummy products coming soon, etc…
My team mate, Sophie, who has been with YFE since almost the beginning is on maternity leave for 3 months so I am a one man show at the moment!

To be honest though, it has been SO FUN. I thought I was going to be in over my head, but embracing everything again and fine tuning all the systems in place has given me so much fulfillment. I feel like I am able to pour love into all the processes again and into the craft and it feels so beautiful.
Ask me this same question in 6 months and I may be exhausted, but for now, I am elated.

I promise I will update you on the space in the coming weeks, as there are BIG changes that I made. The photo on the right shows what it was before and the photo on the left shows a wood wall we installed that I am so happy about!

Anyhow, this was just a mini update amongst many. I am honestly so grateful that all of you have been so patient with orders, emails, etc… It truly allows me to pour the loveliest energy into everything without feeling crazy.
